3 cups flour 1/4 tsp. soda 1/8 tsp salt 2 sticks butter 3 cups sugar 6 eggs, separated 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. lemon flavoring 1 cup sour cream 3/4 cup powdered sugar Juice of 1 lemon Sift flour, soda, and salt together. Cream butter and sugar, beat in egg yolks. Stir in flavorings. Beat in flour mixture, alternating with sour cream. Fold in beaten egg whites. Place in greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 350°F for 1-1/4 hours. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Turn onto rack. Blend powdered sugar and lemon juice. Drizzle over cake. |
